KaKaw is the fruit of a medicinal plant, the kakaw tree (theobroma tree) – coming from Central America and the northern part of South America.

Theobroma is the scientific Latin name and literally means “food of the gods.” The first uses currently recognized date back around 4,000 years by the Mayo Chinchipe people of Ecuador and then by other peoples highly connected to heaven and earth: the Toltecs, Olmecs, Maya, and the Aztecs.

These people had the knowledge and awareness of the power of kakaw which centers its energy on the opening of the heart.

Opening the heart leads to being in harmony with the cosmic dance and unlocks the doors to a deep, honest exploratory work.

Kakaw in its ‘ceremonial’ form is 100% pure.

Kakaw allows a general state of relaxation and facilitates awareness.

It should also be noted that Kakaw is neither a psychotropic drug nor a hallucinogen.

At Sasha’s, we work with LavaLove cacao from San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala harvested & prepared with love by a mayan family (The Mendozas).
